オイラはイタリア語は全然ダメ（giappon=日本、partito comunista=共産党ぐらいは分かるけど）ですが、どうやら、日本共産党を取り上げた BBC のニュースに触発されたもののようです。それにしても、保守系のベルルスコーニ首相のメディアが、日本共産党の前進に注目した、というのがおもしろいところです。

In Giappone la crisi è durissima: il Paese è in recessione, e per la prima volta in 28 anni la bilancia commerciale è in deficit. Per dare sollievo all'economia, il governo di Tokyo ha varato pacchetti di stimolo milionari, ha investito in infrastrutture ed è intervenuto sulla forza lavoro per frenare un tasso di disoccupazione sempre più alto — oggi vicino al 4,5%. Ma non ce l'ha fatta, e molti neo-disoccupati, accompagnati da coloro che temono di perdere il lavoro a breve, si sono radunati in uno dei parchi della capitale per marciare uniti verso il Parlamento sventolando bandiere rosse.
Sono tutti sostenitori del Partito Comunista nipponico, "l'unico che presta attenzione alle esigenze degli operai", asserisce uno dei manifestanti ai reporter della BBC. "Siamo scesi in strada per fare in modo che i lavoratori con contratti a tempo determinato vengano maggiormente tutelati", fa subito eco un altro. Raggiunto il Parlamento, al corteo si sono aggiunti i deputati del Partito Comunista. In Giappone il peso della sinistra comunista non è mai stato particolarmente significativo. Tuttavia, dopo aver assistito a dieci anni di (falliti) tentativi di rilanciare una crescita stagnante e dopo aver sperimentato un ulteriore peggioramento delle performances economiche nazionali a seguito della crisi finanziaria internazionale, i giapponesi hanno iniziato a dare maggiore fiducia "all'unico schieramento apparentemente in grado di arginare una sempre più preoccupante parabola discendente", scrive la BBC.
All'inizio del 2009 gli iscritti al Partito Comunista nipponico erano circa 400mila, ma ora ogni mese il fronte della sinistra viene rafforzato da un migliaio di nuovi simpatizzanti. Il Partito Liberal Democratico, leader della coalizione di governo, conta solamente il doppio degli iscritti ma diminuiscono mese dopo mese.
Alcuni giapponesi si sono avvicinati all'ideologia comunista navigando in rete. Altri hanno rispolverato Kanikosen, un famoso testo del 1929 che racconta la storia di un gruppo di pescatori che, uniti, riescono a combattere i soprusi dei datori di lavoro. Altri ancora hanno divorato la versione manga del Capitale di Carlo Marx.
Entro fine anno i giapponesi saranno chiamati a eleggere un nuovo Parlamento. I Comunisti non si aspettano di ottenere la maggioranza dei seggi, ma sono sicuri che potrebbero ritrovarsi nella condizione di influenzare significativamente il nuovo governo, anche sededendo nei banchi dell'opposizione.
